I am currently attending York University and Sheridan College, enrolled in the York/Sheridan Joint Design Program. I have completed one year of the four year program and am working on my second. My estimated year of graduation is 2011.

I attended Bayside Secondary School in Belleville Ontario. My primary focus was on visual arts and design courses. My secondary focus was on various subjects in the arts such as History, English and Philosophy. I graduated in 2006 as an Ontario Scholar.

WORK EXPERIENCE
July 2009 – Present Ontario Tutors, In-House Designer
I am currently working as the In-House Designer for Ontario Tutors, an education company that specializes in adult education. My work began with an entire re-design of the corporate identity for the four branches of the company as well as the overall Ontario Tutors brand. From there, I design everything and anything the company needs, including stationary, business cards, ads, signs, presentations, documents and much more. I have also been working collaboratively on the new upcoming Ontario Tutors website.

April – August 2008 Engine Communications, Junior Designer
My summer of 2008 was spent working full time as a Junior Designer at Engine Communications. Engine Communications is a small design and communications firm in Belleville Ontario.
As a Junior Designer, I helped the lead designers with various major projects. I also headed smaller design projects for various clients. I worked in fields of web design, corporate identity design, print design and editorial design.

GROUP INVOLVMENT
2008 – 2010 Design Editor for Winter's Free Press
The Winters Free Press is a student owned and operated monthly publication at York University. As the Design Editor, it was my responsibility to create the overall layout for the publication each month, and manage a team of six graphic designers who work on the publication
September 2008, September 2009 Frosh Week Leader
For the last two years I have volunteered to help lead part of York University’s frosh and orientation week. Frosh week is an intense week of fun and orientation that introduces first year students to the university community. As a leader, I spent over a hundred hours planning, setting up for and leading activities over a one week span.
2007 – 2008 Winter's Residence Advisory Council (RAC)
During first year at University, while living in Winter's Residence , I joined the Winter's Residence Advisory Council, also known as RAC. Winter's Residence is the residence at York University that houses the majority of Fine Arts and Design students. The RAC is the group that organizes residence activities, social events, educational presentations, and ensures a safe and fun living environment. As a member, it was my job to think up, organize and run various group social activities in the residence.
